Barbie told supporters that citizens have a right to hold leaders accountable if they fail to deliver on their promises, stressing that leadership should be measured by service to the people.

“If they fail to deliver, you will have the right to hold them accountable,” she said.

She also appealed for support for her husband, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, saying he understands the challenges facing the country and is capable of providing solutions.

“My husband Kyagulanyi understands the challenges faced by Uganda and has what it takes to address them,” she said.

The rally drew a large crowd of NUP supporters as party leaders intensified campaigns in Kampala Central ahead of the polls.

As the election date approaches, NUP leaders continue to urge voters to support their candidates, whom they say represent accountability, justice and improved governance.
